When copying a set of bulleted lists in Microsoft Word and pasting them into a Rich Text field, the Rich Text Editor converts the list into a set of paragraphs (<p/> and <span/> tags) rather than an HTML list (<ul/>, <li/>, ...).

On the other hand, if the list was first copied from an HTML page or the Rich Text Editor, then pasted into Microsoft Word, and then copied and pasted back in to the Rich Text field, the Rich Text Editor coverts the list into an HTML list.

This is expected behavior and is related to Microsoft Word’s approach to handling bulleted lists.
